A living legend between all music festivals around the world. This year from 31st May to 4th June, the famous Primavera Sound celebrates its 17th edition at Barcelona. This legendary festival attracts thousands of music lovers to Barcelona every year for its countless shows (indie, rock, electronic, metal…), performed by more than 200 world-class artists.

The first edition of Primavera Sound was celebrated at Poble Espanyol in Barcelona, and in 2005, it moved to where it is held now: the Parc del Fòrum. The Primavera Sound is a milestone in the music festival history – we still remember The Moldy Peaches’ only concert ever in Spain in 2002, how LCD Soundsystem became the sensation of the festival in 2003 and the unforgettable concerts and performances by Portishead, Neil Young, Michael Nyman and Bad Plus, just to name a few.

This five-years-history music festival takes place every summer in the Pedralbes quarter in Barcelona. Its unique venue – open air, natural surroundings and its phenomenal music have made it stand out among peers – another not-to-be-missed for any music lover who visits Barcelona in summertime.

The festival is celebrated in the whole July. There are different events and performances organized throughout the month, in which well known artists like Pasión Vega, Tony Bennett, The Beach Boys, Ludovico Einaudi and 2Cellos participate. Apart from the music temptation, the venue itself is also alluring: the Jardines del Palau Reial de Pedralbes is usually described as elegant, romantic, yet mysterious.
